Stafford Physio can offer Steroid joint injections without the need for a Consultant or GP appointment.
Our Physiotherapists at Stafford Physiotherapy are qualified to assess complex injury and provide specialist treatments such as Steroid injections. Our physiotherapists at Stafford Physio have independent prescribing rights and many years experience of providing steroid joint injections, which means you no longer have to wait many months for Steroid injections and can have the opportunity for treatments no available on the NHS.
Cortisone Steroid joint injections are powerful anti-inflammatory, prescription only medication. Steroid joint injections are fast acting but generally short lived, if used for arthritis.
When injected for the right condition at the right time, pain can be reduced or removed for up to 3 months and in some instances for much longer. Conditions such as trigger finger can be cured forever with a single injection.
It is important to have the correct rehab following a steroid joint injection, Stafford Physio will ensure this happens after your joint injection.
Please book an initial joint injection assessment with Stafford Physio to discuss suitability of having a steroid injection.
Single injection: £150 plus consultation fee £50
OSTENIL® which is a type of Hyaluronic acid is a treatment for the symptoms of osteoarthritis. Hyaluronic acid injections can be used in the knee, or in any of the other joints in the body that are classified as 'synovial'. Hyaluronic acid has been proven in clinical trials to be a safe and effective treatment, but not available on the NHS. The main reason for this is cost. The NHS suggest that the cost benefits do not outweigh the benefits to the patient. Hyaluronic acid injections have been used successfully for many patients and have enabled patients to avoid surgery. Hyaluronic acid injections are an option for you to consider if you have knee osteoarthritis but not ready for surgery.
Please book an initial joint injection assessment with Stafford Physio to discuss suitability for a Hyaluronic acid injection.
